He started on his car journey at an early age by helping his grandfather restore old Thunderbirds. John joined the USMC and spent 4 years traveling the world. In 1986, John joined a small independent German auto repair center and spent the next 25 years working on both Import and Domestic automobiles, with the majority of his career spent working at Honda dealerships. John is an ASE Master Technician. John also roadraces motorcycles and won a Battle of the Twins National Championship in 2001 riding a Laverda 668 Ghost. So John has a passion for racing and a love for cars and all things motorized. He spent the last 6 years working on Lotus, Lamborghini, Aston and Ferrari at dealers in San Diego. He also worked part time for an American LeMans series team, Autocon Motorsport on their Lola/Aer powered Lmp1 and Jaguar Xk-r. He worked with Lotus factory driver Johnny Mowlem at Road America and Mosport raceway as well as attending the 24 hour of lemans with the lmp1 and won the SCCA runoffs with Jaguar. In his spare time he can be seen at all the local skateparks in southern California on his skateboard, as well as most beaches in the San Diego area. He has worked in Customer Service & Warehouse positions for the last 12 years, most recently with Candela Corp. & Consolidated Electrical Distributors. Ray takes great pride in keeping the warehouse organized and tidy. After hours, he spends time with his family and with projects around the house. Ray volunteers on his local youth baseball board and as a coach. He also plays in an adult recreational baseball and softball league in his community.
